Brief Program of the Congress

- International Session -EnglishFree Paper Abstract Submission

This year, we will have international sessions entitled “PRS Hokkaido 2019” with more than 30 special invited speakers as listed below, as well as Free Paper (oral presentations or digital poster) considered eligible for this session.

Each session will be presented in a same room, spread throughout the three days of the meeting. The official language for this session is English, and sessions will include ample time for audience questions and participation.

Registration Card and Program Book will be provided at the registration desk during the Congress period for JSPRS members who completed pre-registration on the website.

JSPRS members registering on-site & any other categories (non-member, industry, medical staff) , including societies agreed upon by MOU, may purchase Program Book at the registration desk during the Congress. Program Book is sold separately : 5,000 JPY.

Invitation to the gala dinner is included in the registration fee.

Free Paper: Call for Abstracts

Call for abstracts for the JSPRS2019 annual meeting is closed. Please look for upcoming information regarding the JSPRS2020 meeting.

All free paper submissions will be considered eligible for one presentation: either oral presentation in PRS Hokkaido 2019, or digital poster.

  • Abstract submission site opens November 19, 2018.
  • Abstract submission deadline December 17, 2018.
  • All abstract submissions must be made in Word format.
  • Should be submitted via e-mail to jsprs62-endai@congre.co.jp.

Responsibilities of the Presenting Author

All authors submitting an abstract must register for the meeting in advance.
(You must register for the annual meeting before you submit your abstract)

  • The first author listed for each abstract serves as the presenting author and as the primary contact for all correspondence regarding the abstract.
  • The presenting author must be one of the co-authors listed on the submitted abstract.
  • The presenting author is responsible to ensuring that all authors have read the abstract and agreed to be co-authors.

Presentation Format (Oral Presentation or Digital Poster)

After submission, the Organizing Committee will select whether Oral Presentation or Digital Poster. These choices cannot be changed after the review committee has reached its decision.

Presentation Duration

Each speaker will have 10 minutes for presentation. Please time your talk for 8 minutes, and 2 minutes for questions.

Abstract Review and Selection Process

  • After the submission deadline, all completed and eligible abstracts will be made available to the Organizing Comittees for blinded review and scoring, and final decisions will be made in late January 2019.
  • Incomplete abstracts will not be reviewed.
  • All abstracts submitted will be considered eligible for one presentation: either Oral Presentation or Digital Poster.

Acceptance/Rejection Notification

  • Notification regarding acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be sent to the presenting author in March 2019 by email; consequently, an accurate email address is critical. If your abstract is accepted, the email will specify whether it is accepted as Oral Presentation or Digital Poster. Rejection notifications will also be sent at that time.
  • If you have not received an email notification, contact jsprs62-endai@congre.co.jp.

If no relevant relationships exist, this must be stated as well.

  • Once you have submitted your data, you will be able to return to edit and update it at any time until December 17, 2018.
  • You may not make any changes to your abstract after this date.

Preparing an Abstract for Submission

    Names of co-authors and institutions must be provided.

  • Abstract Title

    The abstract title should be brief and clearly indicate the nature of the abstract.

    Do not put a period at the end of the title.

  • Abstract Body, Tables, and Figures

    The entire body of the abstract, excluding tables, must not exceed 800 characters.

    Spaces are not included in this number.

    Do not use bold type or underline formatting. Italic type is acceptable.

    Please mention 2 to 3 review categories/keywords to your abstract.

  • How to submit

    Please complete 2 files; 1) Your abstract text file in Word Format, and 2) Information Sheet in Excel Format. You may find both files below.
    Make sure to submit 2 files at once.

    A sample abstract is provided for your reference below. Note that the title, authors, and institutions are entered in separate fields in the submission form, not in the abstract body, as they are not included in the character count.
